Hi, I'm Ron Myers, owner/contractor of Surf City Painting based in Santa Cruz CA. I've been painting locally since 1989 and have been owner of Surf City Painting since 2004. I'm a Certified Green Building Professional through Build it Green, a Certified Building Analyst through the Building Performance Institute, and have also completed courses for my LEED Green Associate. I've learned to treat the house as a whole system, and believe me, painting is part of that system. My purpose is to inform and educate the painting public of the present and future.

Surf City Painting will bring what other painting contractors may not - courteous, responsible and professional painters. Some words used to describe Surf City Painting are diligent, thorough, professional and caring. All work will be supervised , if not done by myself. The project is not complete, until you the client, are 100% satisfied.

We specialize in painting and finishing new and custom homes, remodels,repaints and finishing of existing homes. We can even put your home on a maintenance program to keep it looking its best all year round. Surf City Painting does it all from painting of walls, to the finishing of cabinets. Finishing is our specialty. We feel as though we are on the cutting edge of environmentally friendly finishes from lacquer like urethane finishes, dye stains, zero VOC paints, and hardening waxes. We use only premium quality paint products from Benjamin Moore Paints,Sherwin Williams Paints, Kelley Moore Paints, Pittsburgh Paints, as well as quality 0 VOC paint products from American Pride, Mythic and Yolo. If color is an issue, we have the resources to achieve what you're looking for.

Many of my past clients, as well as new ones, allow me to walk through their homes and make paint maintenance suggestions as to what should be addressed immediately and in the future. My maintenance programs map out key points of interest and list what's most important for keeping your home looking its best. Once complete, we discuss any issues and plan a "point of attack" to remedy those maintenance issues. I typically do walk throughs in the spring or fall. Please allow me to assess your home and give you realistic suggestions to keep your home happy and beautiful.

Weatherization is also another important part of what Surf City Painting has to offer. We go the extra mile to make sure all areas are caulked, filled and sealed.
